SYMPTOMS OF TYPE 2 DIABETES
If present, the most common symptoms of Insulin Resistance and obesity-linked Type 2 Diabetes are:
- increased production of urine - the body is trying to get rid of the excess glucose in the urine
- unusual thirst
- tiredness - because the glucose is "going to waste" and not being converted into energy
- weight loss
- increased appetite
- feeling ill
- blurred vision
- infections such as thrush or irritation of the genitals
Some individuals with Type 2 Diabetes simply feel slightly unwell or assume they are just aging. Nearly everyone suffering from this disorder first has Pre-Diabetes, which means their blood glucose levels are higher than normal but not in the range of Type 2 Diabetes. Fortunately, Pre-Diabetes doesn't automatically become the irreversible Type 2 variety, which must be managed for one's lifetime and may require daily insulin.
Root causes of Pre-Diabetes are Insulin Resistance and obesity, which can both be reversed by a complete system which combines a balanced nutritious diet, regular exercise and support to encourage lifestyle changes.
