Insulite Laboratories' Customer Service Team Answers Your Frequently Asked Questions About Ordering the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System

What are the symptoms of Pre- and Type 2 Diabetes and how do they relate to Insulin Resistance?

Pre-Diabetes is usually lacking in symptoms and needs blood tests to be detected. The disorder is defined as having blood glucose levels higher than normal but not in the range of Type 2 Diabetes. Fortunately, Pre-Diabetes doesn't automatically become the irreversible Type 2 variety.

If present, the most common symptoms of Insulin Resistance and obesity-linked Type II Diabetes are

  • increased production of urine - the body is trying to get rid of the excess glucose in the urine
  • unusual thirst
  • tiredness - because the glucose is "going to waste" and not being converted into energy
  • weight loss
  • increased appetite
  • feeling sick
  • blurred vision
  • infections such as thrush or irritation of the genitals

Insulin Resistance is being increasingly identified as an underlying factor in obesity. Both conditions can be factors in developing Pre- and Type 2 Diabetes.

Insulin Resistance can prevent the efficient conversion of food into energy because it can reduce the number of insulin receptors on the cell membrane. It has been estimated that, while a typical healthy person has 20,000 insulin receptor sites per cell, the average overweight individual suffering from Insulin Resistance can have as few as 5,000.

If you have a greatly reduced number of insulin receptor site on the cells' surface, your ability to lose weight can be compromised. Insulin acts as "a key in a lock," allowing glucose to pass through the cell to be converted to energy. If you have too few receptor sites, glucose can "bounce off" the cell instead of passing through the insulin "door." As a result, glucose can free-floats in the bloodstream, and can cause elevated levels of blood sugar. Once at the liver, the sugar is converted into fat and stored via the bloodstream throughout the body in a process that can lead to weight gain and obesity.

Excess, free-floating insulin also has an unhealthy affect. It can effect the lining of the arteries and contribute to the development of a build-up of plaque on the artery walls contributing to Cardiovascular Disease.

In addition, unhealthy glucose and insulin levels can be a factor in Cardiovascular Disease because it can be a factor in triglyceride formation where fat-storing substances are carried through the bloodstream to the tissues. As your weight increases, stressors can build up on the entire cardiovascular system. The heart and lungs, for example, have to work harder to distribute an adequate amount of freshly-oxygenated blood throughout the body. As well as unhealthy triglyceride levels LDL "bad" cholesterol, "good" HDL cholesterol may become unhealthy. This combination can be a factor in Cardiovascular Disease.

Unhealthy insulin and glucose levels can also be factors in the kidneys' ability to remove salt, and in blood clot formation.

Pre-Diabetes, which if neglected, can lead to Type 2 Diabetes that must be managed and may require injected insulin. Both Pre-and Type 2 Diabetes are factors in Cardiovascular Disease.

Some individuals with Type 2 Diabetes simply feel slightly unwell or assume they are just aging.

Pre-Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, and obesity, are related condtions and can be managed with a complete System which combines potent nutraceuticals, a balanced nutritious diet, regular exercise, and a support program.

What blood tests can I have to determine if I have Pre-Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes and what are the indicators of this condition?

There are two tests to determine whether a person has Pre-Diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes. One is called a Fasting Plasma Glucose test (FPG), the other an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT). The American Diabetes Association recommends the FPG test because it is easier, faster and less expensive to perform.

With the FPG test, a fasting blood glucose level between 100 and 125 mg/dl signals Pre-Diabetes. A person with a fasting blood glucose level of 126 mg/dl or higher has Type 2 Diabetes.

In the OGTT test, a person's blood glucose level is measured after a fast and two hours after drinking a glucose-rich beverage. If the two-hour blood glucose level is between 140 and 199 mg/dl, the person tested has Pre-Diabetes. If the two-hour blood glucose level is at 200 mg/dl or higher, the diagnosis is Type 2 Diabetes.

Pre-Diabetes is most often a silent condition with symptoms that only show up in medical tests. It occurs when a person's blood glucose levels are higher than normal but not high enough for a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes.

If present, the most common symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes are:

  • increased production of urine - the body is trying to get rid of the excess glucose in the urine
  • unusual thirst
  • tiredness - because the glucose is "going to waste" and not being converted into energy)
  • loss of weight
  • increased appetite
  • feeling sick
  • blurred vision
  • infections such as thrush or irritation of the genitals

Some people simply feel a bit unwell or assume they are just ageing.

Are certain racial groups prone to developing Pre-Diabetes?

Yes. While different forms of Diabetes occur in people of all ages and races, research has shown that some racial groups have a higher risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. This condition is more common in African Americans, Latinos and Native Americans as well as Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The elderly are also at greater risk.

How does the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System help people?

This product has been designed specifically for people suffering from Pre-Diabetes. The Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is an important strategy for reduing Insulin Resistance, a factor in Pre-Diabetes. The Insulite Pre-Diabetes System has several elements, including SensitX, a formulation that includes the following ingredients and benefits:

Gymnema Sylvestre: Helps maintain healthy blood sugar, insulin, and HbA1c levels. It also can support Beta-Cell management.

Bitter Melon (Momardica Charantia): Can help manage blood sugar, glucose tolerance, lipid levels, and post-prandial glucose.

Berberis Aquifolium (Oregon Grape Root): Can help lower blood glucose levels, support insulin sensitivity, help manage insulin secretion. See, Metformin.

Are there any stimulants in the Insulite Pre-Diabetes products?

No. We do not believe the stimulant approach is beneficial for long term weight loss, which is vital for managing Pre-Diabetes in most people. In fact, reducing one's appetite and over stimulating the body will only cause a rebound of weight gain! Stimulants can be unhealthy when taken on a daily basis and Insulite Laboratories is committed to your wellbeing so we provide a lasting, safe, scientifically-based system to help address your weight and health problems. Additionally, weight loss products containing stimulants can be unhealthy for those with high blood pressure, glaucoma, edema, a history of stroke, pregnancy, or hyperaldosteronism.

How long do I stay on the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

Scientific research overwhelmingly confirms the fact that a truly effective change in the body at a cellular level needs to be gradual. You did not become overweight and Insulin Resistant overnight. Therefore, it is not realistic or safe to attempt or expect a complete reversal in a few days. We recommend that you follow the guidelines of the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System for at least six months. Most of our customers will need to stay on the system for at least one year. Keep in mind that we recommend your weight loss does not exceed ½ to 1 lb. per week. At the end of 6 months, we would like to evaluate your progress with you and make recommendations for a course of action based on that evaluation. Just email us to arrange a complimentary telephone consultation with our Consulting & Advisory Teams.

Please do not be discouraged! Research shows that the rapid weight loss evident in most fad diets is almost immediately followed by rapid weight gain. Why? Because the body has a memory. If you have been overweight for some time, your body recognizes that weight as its normal state. When you lose weight quickly, the body does not have time to habituate. It sees the rapid weight loss as abnormal and, once a diet is stopped, it makes an effort to get back as quickly as possible to the normal retaining of fat. At Insulite Laboratories, we emphasize gradual weight loss so that the body can slowly adapt to a lighter weight as well as to eliminate the dreaded "rebound effect" of weight loss and gain. Insulite Laboratories wants you to be healthy for life, not thin for one event in your life. Because of the factors above, we recommend that you dedicate at least six months to the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System.

How many pills are there to take every day?

The SensitX and Pre-RejuvenX products are both to be taken 2 caps twice per day (4 caps of each per day). The Pre-GlucX product is designed to slow the absorption of sugar in the blood stream. It is recommended to take 3 caps twice per day between meals. The Meta-OmegaX product is recommended at 2 caps twice a day.

The total number of pills is greater than most programs because we at Insulite Laboratories know that there is no one pill that can affect the same type of changes as our system. In fact, you are changing numerous ways in which your body heals itself and these changes need to be supported with therapeutic doses of nutrients.

How should I take the pills for the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

With breakfast: SensitX - 2 caps and Pre-RejuvenX - 2 caps
Between breakfast and lunch: Pre-GlucX - 3 caps
With Lunch: SensitX - 2 caps, Pre-RejuvenX - 2 caps and Meta-OmegaX - 2 caps
With Dinner: Meta-OmegaX - 2 caps
After dinner/before bed: Pre-GlucX - 3 caps

If you forget to take any of the supplements with breakfast or lunch, you can take that dose with dinner.

Has the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)?

Currently, there are no nutritional supplements for weight loss or Pre-Diabetes available over the counter that are FDA-approved. At present, the FDA does not regulate the manufacture of these types of products. Therefore, the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System has not been approved by the FDA.

Our supplements are manufactured using high-quality nutrients. Our manufacturer certifies the authenticity of all ingredients in our formulas. Additionally, research conducted by Insulite Laboratories confirms the safety of our Nutraceuticals. There are no known toxicities in any ingredients in any of our formulas.

How do I dispose of the Insulite Supplements?

For information regarding the proper methods of disposing of unused medicines please visit the FDA website at www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm101653.htm

Are the Insulite supplements made in the USA?

Yes, all of our supplements, which are also known as nutraceuticals, are made in the USA.

What is the source of the ingredients in your nutraceuticals?

They come from various sources. The adrenals are a high quality freeze dried mix from Denmark; they are porcine. All flax seed, for example, is made from organic flax seeds sourced from the northern USA.

Most minerals, some extracts, and vitamins are sourced from an international source which is the industry standard.

How can I be sure that the ingredients in the Insulite supplements are of the highest quality?

Insulite Laboratories develops relationships only with reputable suppliers and manufacturers who maintain the highest standards of production and testing to ensure the purity and integrity of the ingredients. All products have a certificate of analysis from their source and each batch is individually tested for microbial limits (when applicable), purity, and heavy metals.

Our manufacturers are a cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) company that is fully compliant with the US Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) regulations.

The FDA has recently released extensive new cGMP laws for dietary supplement manufacturers with a 2010 deadline for full compliance. Our manufacturer is on schedule to meet the new regulations in advance of the "comply by" date. They are inspected by the FDA and local/state health departments on a drop in basis. There have never been any complaints from these agencies.

Certificates of Analysis for the Insulite Systems' supplements are available for review by customers. Email us your name, email address, supplement name, i.e. GlucX and the Lot numbers stamped on the side of the bottles.

What is the shelf life of the Insulite supplements?

Two (2) years from date of production. Expiration dates are clearly marked on all Insulite Laboratories supplement bottles.

Do I need a prescription for the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

No, a prescription is not required.

Is your system covered by insurance?

Unfortunately at this time, insurance companies do not recognize the use of nutritional supplements and rarely reimburse for them. Some companies do, in fact, reimburse their insured but the vast majority do not. In the future, we hope that our Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is adopted by conventional medicine and is used routinely as treatment for Insulin Resistance and its related disorders.

Is there anything in the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System that will increase blood pressure?

No. There are no ingredients in the formulas that will have a negative impact on blood pressure levels. One additional long term benefit of using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is that, by managing circulating fasting insulin, you can begin to better manage your blood pressure. Elevated levels of insulin can effect the interior lining of vessels a factor in high blood pressure, also known as hypertension.

I don't have a weight problem. Can I still have Pre-Diabetes?

Yes. If you have elevated homocysteine, elevated fasting glucose and fasting insulin and your cholesterol levels are not healthy, you can still have Pre-Diabetes and benefit from this product. While it seems unlikely that people who are not overweight would have all the changes in blood tests that can reflect the presence of Pre-Diabetes, it is possible. The only way to manage your condition is by changing the way your body responds to food.

Can I purchase the supplements only, without the diet and exercise guidelines?

The diet and exercise guidelines are included in the price of the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System. We do not sell the different elements individually, because the System was designed to work as a whole. Insulite Laboratories finds that the best results are achieved when combining all of the supplements with lifestyle changes.

Even if you already have a "good" diet and you exercise regularly, you will likely benefit from the suggestions offered in the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System. Our diet and exercise guidelines were designed to enhance the effects of the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System.

How will I feel when I use the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

As you begin the Nutrition and Exercise Plans, and the longer you use the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System, you should feel more energized and your levels of stamina are can be constant throughout the day. Afternoon lulls in focus or concentration can decrease. You are certain to experience a marked reduction in cravings for simple carbohydrates in the early afternoon.

Can I use oral contraceptives while on the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

Yes. The nutrients in the MetaX System will not interfere with the oral birth control pill, nor will they produce side effects.

I am gluten-sensitive. Is there any ingredient in the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System that would create an allergic reaction?

There are no products with gluten in any of our formulations.

I have been diagnosed with Pre-Diabetes but don't have problems with weight gain. Would the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System still work for me?

Yes. We recommend that you still comply with the diet, exercise and nutrient supplementation for the management of Pre-Diabetes. The Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is designed to help maintain healthy insulin levels, which can be a factor in Pre-Diabetes. Additionally, the formula is designed to help support healthy cholesterol, blood pressure, CRP (C-reactive protein), and homocysteine levels.

Is your product appropriate for someone with hypoglycemia?

Yes. However, we recommend that you are careful about watching your blood sugar levels for several weeks when first starting the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System. It is important to monitor your blood sugar levels often, especially initially. The nutrients in this formula can be effective at managing blood sugar. The diet changes that we recommend require that people with hypoglycemia are vigilant about their blood sugar levels. Additionally, if you suffer from hypoglycemia, we suggest eating 5-6 small meals per day that are protein-based and decrease consumption of simple carbohydrates.

Can I take glucophage (Metformin) while using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

Yes. If you decide to take glucophage (Metformin) while using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System, please make sure to take the glucophage separately from the Pre-GlucX product. Pre-GlucX contains fiber, which can interfere with the absorption of glucophage if taken simultaneously. We recommend taking the Pre-GlucX 4 hours apart from the glucophage.

Glucophage can act as an anti-hyperglycemic; it can help manage glucose and insulin levels. It is prescribed for those with Insulin Resistance. Metformin can impact weight loss, however, the results can be variable. There can also be side effects with the treatment of Metformin that can impact your health.

Our view on the pharmaceutical treatment of Insulin Resistance is that there is no single drug on the market that will change your condition. The only way to reverse it is to manage insulin and glucose levels.

The Insulite Pre-Diabetes System was created to address the cause of Pre-Diabetes. These symptoms can be partially controlled by diet and exercise changes. The addition of potent nutraceuticals can help you become more sensitive to your insulin and help maintain health blood glucose levels.

If you do decide to keep taking glucophage while using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System, we recommend that you test your blood sugar daily for the first few weeks on the System, as the Insulite nutraceuticals, and glucophage work together and may decrease your blood sugar beyond what you may expect.

This is the good news however. If you find this is happening, speak to your doctor about using glucophage.

My Doctor has prescribed an anti-depressant for me. Is it safe to take this medication with your product?

It is safe to combine SSRI's (Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors), the most commonly prescribed anti-depressants, with the Insulite supplements, to the best of our knowledge.

Unfortunately, there are no clinical trials on the use of SSRI's and nutrients in any combination. We have many clients who are on SSRI's and there has been no feedback regarding side effects, although the potential always exists as individuals experience substances differently. Our formula is made of minerals, antioxidants and vitamins and there is no toxicity to any ingredient. Examples of SSRI's include Prozac, Luvox, Celexa, Paxil, Zoloft and Lexapro.

In addition, there are several different classes of anti-depressants, none of which have undergone clinical trials with nutrients in any combination. These include NDRIs (Norepinephrine and dopamine re-uptake inhibitors ), which include Wellbutrin, and SNRIs (Serotonin and norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitors), such as Effexor, among others.

If you are taking an anti-depressant other than an SSRI, please contact a member of the our Consulting & Advisory Teams and we can assess the possibility of any interactions.

Why does the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System recommend a regular exercise program to reverse Pre-Diabetes?

The main reason we recommend exercise as a critical part of this system is that it will reduce your need for insulin a factor in Insulin Resistance, which, in turn, can lead to Pre-Diabetes. Exercise is a necessary component for addressing other symptoms of Pre-Diabetes. It can boost your metabolism, burn more calories, and effect the number of insulin receptor sites on your cells. Allowing glucose to enter the cell to be converted to energy instead of fat is healthy. Keep in mind there is no single strategy that is effective for Pre-Diabetes. It takes a complete system to support these changes metabolically.

I have had a few minor changes in my digestion since starting the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System. Why is this happening?

We have had feedback from a small percentage of our customers that they experience gas, bloating, changes in the frequency of bowel movements and even a change in the color of stools. This is mainly due to the Pre-GlucX product which contains more fiber than one is usually accustomed to consuming each day. This increase can cause these symptoms, which are completely benign and will resolve over time. However, we recommend using a smaller number of Pre-GlucX capsules to begin with and then work up to the full dose. For example, use 1 cap twice a day for the first week and increase to 2 caps twice a day for the second week. Work up gradually and this will help reduce the side effects. If these symptoms persist, please contact our Consulting & Advisory Teams.

Since starting the Insulite supplements, I have had a few headaches. Why is this and what can I do about it?

We have had feedback from a small percentage of our customers that they have experienced headaches when starting to take the Insulite supplements.

There are several reasons that the headaches could be happening, all of which represent positive changes taking place in your system.

Headaches could be due to your body detoxifying which is a great thing. Or, it could be low blood sugar, due to your decrease in simple carbohydrates and from the nutraceuticals, some of which contain blood-sugar lowering properties. Another reason could be that you are eating carbohydrates without combining them with protein or fat.

If you are uncomfortable, we suggest that you decrease all nutraceuticals by half for the first two weeks and consume 3 liters of water over the course of the day. Slowing the dose will take care of this symptom and drinking plenty of water will help flush out toxins.

Headaches can also result from a change in bowel habits, and making diet changes. Again, drinking plenty of water with a decrease in the Insulite nutraceuticals at the beginning of the program will help eliminate this problem. If your headaches continue despite both of these changes, please consult our Consulting & Advisory Teams.

What kind of pancreatic and adrenal tissue is used in the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

The pancreatic and adrenal tissues in the supplements are porcine (pig) derived and are from Australia. They are range-free, hormone-free and pesticide-free. The glandulars and the gelatin capsules are the only animal derived substances in our products.

Are there any ingredients in the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System that may prevent me from becoming pregnant?

No. In fact, if you are having difficulty conceiving, lowering your insulin is a way to enhance your ability to conceive. We do recommend, however, that, if you become pregnant while using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System, you discontinue using the supplements during your pregnancy and then resume them after you finish breastfeeding. The reason is that while we know that the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is safe and non-toxic in general, these supplements have not been tested in any clinical trials specifically on pregnant women or infants.

Is it safe to continue trying to get pregnant while using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

It is safe to continue trying to get pregnant while you are using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System.

However, if you do get pregnant, we recommend that you discontinue taking the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System supplements during your pregnancy, and then resume the supplements after you are finished breastfeeding. The reason is that while we know that the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is safe and non-toxic in general, these supplements have not been tested in any clinical trials specifically on pregnant women or infants.

Is the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System safe to take while pregnant?

We at Insulite Laboratories want to support healthy changes that you have made. However, if you conceive while on the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System of nutraceuticals and lifestyle changes, we recommend that you discontinue the nutraceuticals until after you have finished nursing. The reason is that, while we know that the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is safe and non-toxic in general, these supplements have not been tested in any clinical trials specifically on pregnant women or infants.

We strongly encourage you to keep working on the simple carbohydrate reductions and exercise plan as these recommendations are both safe for pregnant as well as nursing mothers.

Is the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System safe to use while nursing?

We at Insulite Laboratories congratulate you on your pregnancy and birth of your child. We recommend that you discontinue the use of the nutrients in our System until you have stopped nursing. The reason is that, while we know that the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is safe and non-toxic in general, these nutraceuticals have not been tested in any clinical trials specifically on pregnant women or infants. We strongly encourage you to keep working on the simple carbohydrate reductions and exercise plan as these recommendations are both safe for pregnant as well as nursing mothers.

Can I still take my multivitamins while on the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

Yes. You may take your multivitamins at the same time as taking the pills of the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System except Pre-GlucX. Because it is a soluble fiber, the Pre-GlucX may interfere with the absorption of vitamins (and any other medications). To be safe, we recommend that Pre-GlucX is taken at least an hour before meals. Your vitamins can be taken at meal time with SensitX, RejuvenX and Meta-OmegaX.

Here is a suggested schedule:

With breakfast: SensitX - 2 caps and Pre-RejuvenX - 2 caps
Between breakfast and lunch: Pre-GlucX - 3 caps
With Lunch: SensitX - 2 caps, Pre-RejuvenX - 2 caps and Meta-OmegaX - 2 caps
With Dinner: Meta-OmegaX - 2 caps
After dinner/before bed: Pre-GlucX - 3 caps

Your vitamins can be taken at meal time with SensitX, Pre-RejuvenX and Meta-OmegaX.

Can my teenager take the Insulite Pre-Diabetes products and safely follow the program?

Yes, the diet and exercise recommendations are safe for all people over the age of 12. However, it is recommended that teenagers take the Supplement Plan at half the adult dose since there have been no clinical studies conducted with teenagers using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System nor any other nutrient formula.

Please contact our Consulting & Advisory Teams to discuss dosing for YOUR teenager.

Half of the adult dose is: GlucX: 3 caps per day; SensitX: 2 caps per day; RejuvenX: 2 caps per day and Meta-OmegaX 2 caps per day. It is ideal to take these nutrients twice per day rather than all at once. GlucX contains fiber, which may interfere with the absorption of medications if they are taken simultaneously. We recommend taking the GlucX 4 hours apart from medications and vitamins.

About Pre-Diabetes and Insulin Resistance

Why do Pre-Diabetes and Insulin Resistance cause excessive food cravings?

Both Pre-Diabetes and Insulin Resistance are the result of imbalances in your insulin and glucose. These imbalances can cause dramatic swings in your blood sugar level. The biological effect is that your brain continues to send signals saying it needs food. As a result, you continue to feel hungry, yet no amount of food is likely to satisfy your cravings for very long.

Does eating a diet high in fat contribute to Pre-Diabetes and Insulin Resistance?

No. Fat does not cause the glucose and insulin "spiking" that occurs with the repeated consumption of carbohydrates. A diet high in fat may not, however, enhance your chances of weight loss and can pose other health risks. The consumption of trans-fats can effect insulin insensitivity which can lead to Pre-Diabetes. Trans fats which are also called "hydrogenated fats" are found in crackers, some chips, cookies, bakery items, pastries, margarine, and should be avoided completely.

Is Insulin Resistance the same thing as Type 2 Diabetes?

No. Insulin Resistance occurs, perhaps for many decades, before Type 2 Diabetes is diagnosed. With Insulin Resistance, the pancreas is producing TOO MUCH Insulin and with Diabetes, the pancreas can no longer produce insulin. If treated early, Insulin Resistance will not progress and become Diabetes. Additionally, Insulin Resistance does not require daily administration of medication for its management.

Will I get Type 2 Diabetes if I have Insulin Resistance?

No. With proper nutrients and diet and a moderate exercise plan, you can manage Pre-Diabetes and reverse Insulin Resistance.

About Weight Loss

How soon will I lose weight on the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System?

To transform your body's chemistry in a manner that will lead to permanent change takes time, commitment, persistence and patience. To heal the ravages of being unhealth you must honestly commit to altering your lifestyle. Once you make this commitment, Insulite Laboratories is here to help.

Before you sign up for the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System, please remember that no single pill can reverse Insulin Resistance, or weight gain. The way to reverse it is with a complete system that requires commitment and realistic expectations. Insulite Laboratories recommends that you lose no more than 1/2 - 1 lb. a week on the System so that you can experience long lasting weight loss without the heartbreaking "rebound effect."

Why do you recommend gradual weight loss?

Gradual weight reduction results in a more permanent change in the way your cells respond to insulin. Research shows that rapid weight loss evident in most fad diets is almost immediately followed by rapid weight gain.

At Insulite Laboratories, we emphasize gradual weight loss so that the body can slowly adapt to a lighter weight. In fact, in an effort to eliminate the dreaded "rebound effect" of weight loss and gain we recommend in most instances that the System is used to lose no more than 1/2 - 1 lb. a week. Insulite Laboratories wants you to be healthy for life, not thin for one event in your life.

While you can expect to see and feel changes sooner, we recommend that you commit to using the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System for at least six months. At this point, we ask that you contact us for a complimentary consultation with our Consulting & Advisory Teams. We would like to evaluate your progress with you and make recommendations for a course of action based on that evaluation. We cannot and will not make claims that this System will produce an overnight transformation. Rapid weight loss is unhealthy and non-permanent. We do guarantee that, if you follow this program for six months, you will experience weight loss, increased vitality and better health.

Is this just another high protein, low carbohydrate diet?

No, this is a system of elements that when followed carefully will completely eliminate the need for "diets". This is not an Atkins or Protein Power look-a-like plan. While protein is emphasized on this program, carbohydrates are not excluded. The Insulite Pre-Diabetes System includes not only a Nutrition Plan but also Supplement and Exercise Plans, as well as a Support Network. Our Nutrition Plan recommends a healthier balance of protein and healthier carbohydrates (e.g. vegetables, fruits). The Nutrition Plan is carefully designed to help keep your blood sugar healthy so that you are hungry only at mealtimes, you are satisfied by food easily, and your energy stays constant throughout the day.

Additionally, the specialized supplement program "instructs" or "reminds" your insulin and glucose how to work together again for the management of weight gain.

Another reason that you are likely to succeed with the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is the emphasis we place on support. Studies show that support is vital to any lifestyle transition. The goal of the Insulite Support Network is to keep you motivated through weekly messages with advice on nutrition, healthy recipes, exercise and research on Insulin Resistance, Pre-Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome (Syndrome X), Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and Cardiovascular Disease. Insulite participants also receive a monthly newsletter and can obtain feedback on their progress at any time by contacting us via email or by calling 1 888 9 TO HEAL.

Can I use Slim Fast or a Power Bar for lunch and still use this product?

We are advocates of getting your nutrients from food rather than snack bars and processed food. However, if you feel that you must eat protein bars, we recommend eating a high-protein bar that is designed to have a ratio of at least 30% protein to 40% carbohydrates. High protein foods like nuts, cottage cheese and lean meats are also good suggestions when you are on the go.

If I am following the Nutrition and Exercise Plans and taking all the supplements and am NOT losing weight, could it be my level of stress?

Yes. Stress increases the circulating levels of cortisol. As with adrenalin, cortisol causes the release of glucose from your liver. Therefore, stress increases can be seen in blood levels of glucose which can cause unhealthy insulin secretion from your pancreas factors in Insulin Resistance. Cortisol can also be a factor in fat storage around your abdomen and thighs.

If I have already done Atkins and "failed" why would I succeed with this program?

The Insulite Pre-Diabetes System recommends a more realistic and healthy nutrition program and emphasizes a reasonable approach to exercise. Once the user masters both of these concepts, the likelihood of gaining weight in the future can be better managed. The nutrients in our Supplement Plan help support the way your body uses insulin and the cardiovascular effects of insulin. The Atkins diet merely suggests severe carb restriction without emphasizing the importance of healthy nutrients to reverse Insulin Resistance. The Insulite Pre-Diabetes System's goal is to increase the number of insulin receptor sites on the cell. Because the nutraceuticals are potent and effective reversal of Insulin Resistance, and successful weight loss can be possible.

We are advocates of healthy eating, not just avoiding one major food group for fast weight loss. We emphasize increasing green vegetables and "good fats" in your diet because both can be factors in weight loss. Additionally, the specialized Supplement Plan helps support healthy insulin and glucose levels to better manage body weight.

Another reason that you are likely to succeed with the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System is the emphasis we place on support. Studies show that support is vital to any lifestyle transition. A key objective of the System is to keep you motivated through weekly messages with advice on nutrition, healthy recipes, exercise and research on Insulin Resistance, Pre-Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome (Syndrome X) and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). All Insulite System participants also receive a monthly newsletter and can obtain feedback on their progress at any time by contacting us via email or by calling 1 888 9 TO HEAL.

"I have been on the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System for one year. Within that year I have lost 76 pounds and my glucose level has improved. I followed the plan provided and have also become physically fit. I am able to exercise 2+ hours a day and hike difficult treks at the parks without fatigue. I feel better and healthier than I have in a very long time. I wish to tell others what a wonderful system this is. I have ordered another year of the Pre-Diabetes System and expect that the improvements will keep coming."

"I have been on the Insulite System for approx 3 months. I have lost 33 lbs, my liver functions are normal and my A1C came back at 5.1, down from 8.03 months ago. I was taking 10 Glucovance pills daily, now I take only 2 pills in the AM. My blood sugar is normal, my energy is higher than it has been in years and I feel great. Insulite along with a change in my diet has changed my life.

I tell everyone that asks me what I have done to change my life, about the Insulite program. Your product is fantastic. I have cut out all sweets, flour, dairy and have no cravings."

"I have been on the Insulite Pre-Diabetes System for 6 months now. I have lost 52.5 lbs and am walking 5 miles a day, 6 days a week. I feel great! I still have a hard time believing that this has worked so well and so easily. I have tried to lose weight for years and had even come to the point of gaining weight while fasting.

When I read about Insulin Resistance it described me perfectly. The Insulite System made complete sense. I have followed the entire plan and the results are astounding. God has used the Insulite System to change my life. Your support has been tremendous! Thank you for being there for me."

"I cannot believe the difference the Insulite System has made in how I feel. My appetite has changed tremendously. I do not crave carbs and sugar and my appetite is somewhat diminished."

"In less than 3 weeks I've started losing weight again after being "stuck" on Weight Watchers for about a year. I've lost about 4 lbs since starting Insulite but more significantly my blood pressure is well within normal limits now and I can tell my metabolism is better. I am not getting that slump between meals and am able to control between-meal snacking, and I have a lot of energy throughout the day rather than periods where I need to nap. I just ordered the 6 months supply. Thank you!"

"Although I have never met any of your staff I feel that I get more positive response from you all than my doctors for the last five years.

I'm just so grateful for your organization. You have given me so much hope and something to look forward to. I feel as if I'm dealing with professionals who care about what happens to their patient."

"...approximately 90% of overweight Hispanic children with a family history for type 2 diabetes have at least one feature of the metabolic syndrome and 30% possess the metabolic syndrome.

Our results support the view that improving insulin resistance may be crucial in the prevention of both type 2 diabetes and premature cardiovascular disease in this at-risk subpopulation of Hispanic youth."

"I started your product and found it really boosts my system, helping me get off ground zero, and stop the spiral downwards. It gave me the energy to start exercising and prepare healthy meals.

You are all very supportive, even though I am on the other side of the world (Australia). I am very glad that I am on your product, your weekly messages are also very encouraging, when I am finding things a bit harder. Thank you for everything."
